SUPER cyclone Amphan, with wind speeds of 185mph, has dealt a devastating blow to West Bengal and parts of Odisha. While timely evacuation - a difficult operation in the time of social distancing - limited the loss of human life to double figures, the estimated damage of US $13billion makes it the costliest storm ever recorded in the North Indian Ocean.
